Shaolin Long Fist is a style that was developed in the open plains of Northern China. The style emphasizes long range fighting and specializies in kicking techniques. As with most Asian marital arts, the techniques and movements of the style are taught in a traditional, prearranged series of moves called sequences. To qualify as an instructor, one must master eleven bare hand sequences, two saber sequences and three straight sword sequences.

TAI CHI CHUAN, YANG STYLE, LONG FORM

My time training in martial arts has brought me many treasures. Knowledge that has been preserved, enhanced, and passed down for generations is something one must never forget or disrespect. I am proud to have studied under such a notable teachers as Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming, Master Jou, Tsung Hwa, Master Shou-Yu Liang, Master Wei Lun Huang, Master Bruce Kumar Frantzis, Patricia Walden, and Arthur Goodridge.

I am eager to continue the tradition of preserving and passing down the knowledge and wisdom of the martial arts and yoga that I have learned from these world renown masters. My goal is to help and guide other interested individuals into a correct path of practice.

A major part of the training, and the most popularly known aspect of Tai Chi, is a pre-set sequence of slow, smooth movements, which offers many health benefits. Originally a martial art, my style is taught with practical fighting applications for each of the movements.

Since 1983, I studied with Chinese martial arts master, Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming PhD, and have actively participated in national and international competitions, earning gold medals in Tai Chi Chuan, Pushing Hands, Shaolin sword, Tai Chi sword, and Bagua Deer Hooks.
